i've kept quite on this post because of the current "disagreement " i'm having with pete, but I feel I have valid points to raise

I have to totally agree with those saying traders should not be mods. In particular it seems like Pete mods the for sale section like he’s in the MI5.

To cut a long story short, I posted a “breaking” post up a week or so ago in that room. To save posting my personal activities I said “I’ve bought a car and I’m going to break it – all parts available” simple as that. He has now deleted it saying I’m trading. Those that know me – and apparently the majority of mods do (so ive heard) because in a poll in the mods room most have confirmed that I am not.

Apparently because of the way I worded the post, ie, the engine is sold – when the truth is I’ve actually kept it (obviously I have to be VERY precise when telling you all how exciting my life is) I’ve been banned from re-posting it.

So where do I stand now??? Because of “Mr I’ll analyse exactly what you wrote, put two and two together and come up with 10” has now taken away my benefit was a paid up gold member (ie the benefit to post in the for sale room). I have plenty of spares hanging around which I bought for my previous cossie, but will he delete every post because he says that in his opinion it has come from the car I’m breaking???

As for him sticking by teh rules, I’d like to know where in the rules it states that I as a gold member cannot buy a car with the intention of breaking to sell most of it just this once. This being the rule which he says I have broken????? Perhaps I’m wrong and it is there – please feel free to point me in that direction

Pete, I do believe that you do have a serious problem when it comes to your moderating abilities. You take posts far to seriously and appear to want to analyse everything everyone says, just in case you can be picky and delete the post. Maybe you do use your mod abilities for your own gain, it certainly does seem to be the general consensous amounst many members and is certainly the motive in my case. Perhaps I should feel sorry for you, that you feel so threatened by a no-body breaking just one car and selling parts. But then again perhaps you just have far too much time on your hands you feel it necessary for all this stupidity in analysing posts.

By the way I’d like a reply to my question regarding where I stand now on posting in the for sale section. And if because of your moderating I am now unable to post there I hold you personally responsible for the £20 I have wasted

only yesterday i pointed someone in the direction of a the 2wd which is being broken on here for bits I didnt have,the day before another customer of here wanting a T35 told him there was one for sale on this site a couple of paages back andother memebr of this site wanted a gearbox i told hom to cal paul from north yorks

Paul, the ONLY traders I have had issues with are ones that are not doing business above board, unfortunalty i have had a run in with Pete in the past when he sold my mate a fucked crank, and refused to do anything about it until a firm letter (privatly i might add) was sent. He then HIMSELF made it public, and got proven WRONG, and after much wrangling put things right . We then had a lengthy chat on the phone (best part of 2 hours!!) and I assumed that the problems had been put to bed, and all was well again. How can you say I hold a grudge against someone when I offer to buy parts off them? If I had a grude I would be telling anyone and everyone not to buy off him! - Pete obviously has a problem with me, as he calls me a "hater"

ATM- do I need to explain??? Trying to sell me a std diff with a steel plate for £495 claiming it was a 909 thickwall?

I have had lots of dealings with people off here, Tim finch, Stu@MSD, Ian@racetek, Boschman, Mike Rainbird, Matt Lewis, and have NEVER had a problem with them, as even on the rare occasion somthing isn't right, it gets sorted without a problem....... Good traders are like gold dust , i know if I phone any one of the above I will get 100% quality, no messing.

Again, i re-iterate the ORIGINAL POINT OF THE POST, Pete modified his post to get rid of 2 very very valid points made by Markk, who i would imagine knows a thing or two about diffs, as he was obviously unhappy that markk had raised an issue..

The other points edited WERE out of order, pertaining to the fact that a comment was made about CTS that had no relavence to the thread.....

I cant remember word for word what I put except i've bought a car i'm going to break, and the engine is sold (should I have put a full explantion up which no-body cares what i'm doing with it?) I'd also be happy for you to post the poll where mods are confiming I am not a trader. Including stu's post, which he appears to now be retracting

Like I said before pete - you have insinuated I am a liar - that is unneccesary and VERY wrong.

Paul - a genuine point - I thought most traders left this site because of rules which were being added, not because of the hassle. I'm sure they get hassle from cutomers who do not go through this site?

I have no problem with traders/rules/paying my £20 gold membership/and moderators in general. But I do believe that what AJ has suggested would be a reasonable request

Most of the traders left here because they were not getting sales from here anymore

I dont sell much on here these days and hardly ever post cars breaking etc , but i like it here and enjoy the banter

Other traders left because they were paying to be a trader and were being undercut by bedroom traders who payed a £20 fee and got the same adverts as a trader paying a lot more .

I decided to stay and moan about the bedroom traders simply because if every trader left then this site i feel would miss out , so decided to stick with it and try to make it better for paying traders and give them back there benifits ,,But all we get is grief for it by the traders who cant afford the fees

everyone pretends to be nice,,, you are actually a nice bloke and very honest and i know this as ive sent lots of people to you when i worked at fords to get parts for there cars that are no longer available and i even gave you number to topfords in malta and he thinks your one of the best english people hes delt with

and another top nice bloke on here who gets ALOT if shite,,, and lots of it from me too is jano oddkidd, he will do anything for anyone he dont know and goes the extra mile

In the next week or so i'll have my hands on a 4x4 which i'm buying just to break.

All parts are available (buying the car just to make a few quid so would rather break)

Engine provisionally sold, but purely just the engine so all other parts available

It has a above average condition dark cloth interior

I also have a a good few spares left from when I owned my cosworth which I will list in a seperate post tonight when i get home.

You can either pm for prices or ask here. I can get a few of the parts now but if I cant i'll put your name to it and send it out as soon as I get the car (2 weeks at the very most!)

 

the REAL reason why i know shes not breaking it for profit,,,, or real profit as she will end up looking after her mates ( which when you break your car you seem to get a load of them for a few weeks ive noticed ) and then speed the cash on some crazy mod only a girl would like such as turning her strut brace from a bling alloy jobby to a 5 year olds art project with glitter an sticking bits of painted dried pasta to it, well it DID look like it when i first seen your first DIY mod ,,,,,,,, even JIM GALBALLY cringed

the advert was binned first by another mod and then she was told to reword it so it didnt break the rules
now chaps why dont you all just go out and buy cars to make yourselfs a few quid,it dosent matter we can bend the rules

Its says engine prov SOLD ,,so how has she bought it for the engine when she clearly says its SOLD

And ,,I also have spares from "WHEN I OWNED A COSWORTH" hence she hasnt now , so why did she need the engine if she sold the cosworth
