when i click on general disscussion i get all the banners at the top but no posts load up, its been doin this to me for the last few days anyone got any ideas why?

oh and when i can get into gd if i refresh the page it takes me back to the forum index

 

You need to clear all your PF cookies pal, that will fix it for sure.

 

cheers ive cleaned out all the cookies from my temporary internet files and still have the same problems, its strange that i only have a problem with gd loading up all other parts of pf load up fine

 

i have exactly the same problem and its driving me mad

i can go in any other section and its fine but when i go into GD all i get is the top text but the rest of the page is blank then if i refresh it goes back to forum index

i have also deleated all my cookies etc and erased pf from my favorites and the re added it incase the link was bad but its still doing it

 

its not just me then

 

anybody help us out here as we cant post it in general discussion where every fooker is

im running avg anti virus and norton firewall, had these running for years with no probs on passionford its just started in the last few days

 

reason i ask is i have had the same problems on my other pc .. now built a spare one up that is norton free and it works perfectly

 

strange, as i said before ive had no probs with passionford till a few days ago, i havent changed anything on my laptop and it only affects general disscussion and if i refresh the page

 

right if i log off passionford i can view general discussion everytime, it only plays up when i log in

fair do's it slow's the site a little bit blocking all the ad's showing
but that's a price im happy to pay

 

dunno mate .. i think norton is annoying in reality as it blocks the moderating control panel .. i have to log in and refresh the page then turn off norton firewall to use it but it is the 2003 version

 

iv'e got the 2005 version
didnt think it made any diffrence what year it is as long as it's got a current subscription

I have the same problem,can't get onto GD either everything else is ok, if i log off i can get on to GD but that has stopped working today aswell.

No more GD for me as i can't access it anymore & i'm a gold member

same here, its only just started doing it so im wondering if its a norton update thats causing the prob, anyone know how to check what updates have been installed lately in norton?

If I disable norton internet security, then GD loads fine, then I can re-enable NIS.

 

i think it might have something to do with the google ads on the front page .. why i have no idea..
symantec have been basicaly bloody useless stating unless you have the latest version they dont really want to know.
i have complained 7 or 8 times and get the same sort of responce..
you need to be using the latest version...
we cant help you really as you need to be using the latest version ...

ffs i dont want to use the latest version .. mine is legaly activated so sort it out.

try shouting at symantec (norton) and mention passionford ... if we all complain they might help

 

Well seen as i'm all out of ideas i'll give that a go

 

It all seems to be fine now see how long it last

OK i'm no expert with computers but surly this can't be a prob with norton/symantec software as i randomly can/can't get into GD. If by chance it does let me in the next click or 2 will certainly see me with the pf header and a blank screen again.

I did manage to view gd from a mates computer dont worry your not missing anything....well bar the usual suspects hilarities
