1.3L Mk4
Not even a bonus or popular
Got given this yesterday, lots of little problems with it and the local twats had been at it
Fixed all the little problems like no horn (fuse), stuck sun roof (cleaned the green shite of it! ), over heating in traffic in the summer, which is why it was taken off the road (pluged the fan back in )
Bent the door top back into place and hammerd the frame square again.
Needs a N/S TCA and possably another column but deffo a new ign lock and or steering wheel and a it has a hole the size of a 20P in the drivers rear sill.
Mint int for what it is, mind you it's only had 2 owners and the last 1 was only for 2 years so probably garaged most of it's life by an old boy who doted on it.
49K
Already making money on it
A cheapo nagamitsiyogamashi stereo, fortunatly they left the broken panasonic CD player under the seat (fuse was blown ) so that's going back in after i do the welding.
1 key fits all the locks including the petrol cap and it still has it's origional battery tray and no leaks.
The bad bits, 1.3 HCS.... OH well at least it's a 5 speed, this is me motherinlaws crimbo prezzy (she has no idea) so i can get the wifes 2 door Mk4 estate back that she's been borrowing since her Rover blew up and i can get me Disco 200Tdi back off the bloody wife and get back to cheapo motoring with some cooking oil powerrrrr
Not gonna be a huge thread cos it wont get many mods but i was so happy i had to share wiv ya

Tut tut, showing yourself up there.... 'L' is higher spec than both the Popular and Bonus
Popular is the most basic, Bonus was a run out model (basically a pop with a pop up sunroof added ) and L is much fancier.....
Fabric headrests and different trim, optional tilt & slide sunroof, door strips, tinted glass, fag lighter and a radio cassette.
Luxury!

I like the way it even says 5 speed on the V5, like just an L aint enough letters
Been driving for a while, drives ok, bit gutless but not much worse than the diesel, i did 60 in it once and i forgot just how bad standard steels and 155s are

Knew all that, but the crappy pop up sunroof not being standard is news to me.... Thought they all had that inflicted on them

Last pic before it jets off to swansea for good, or at least until next years MOT
At least i have the estate back which is handy cos i have an engine to deliver
New battery tray time for the estate methinks, last week the puddle in the passenger footwell froze and the MIL managed to lift it out in one frozen lump and the wife wants it satin black cos she's tired of Tcutting the bonnet back to red/mouve/purple
