do you have a set budget??? power figure in mind?? etc etc..
theirs lots of tuning firms like Aldon who know a fair bit asbout these cars and practically specialise considering the drought of tuners willing to work on them.
so what do you need info and parts wise.

you could goto cylinder head developments and get both flowing and cams done..Andys very well recommended and not just for RS2000 '14''s either..he does CVH and cossie heads too..
give him a ring and chat spec on 01527 870472
you should easily get that work done for that money.
it will make sense of your induction and exhaust and start to make power.
realistically its somehting around 170bhp which is what i have with those mods..but you may strike lucky and pull a few more as they respond differently.
either way,you will have more torque and more bhp afterwards..
if you want to go further your gonna be at a cross roads in tuning appraches...
either get something like a superchip or fully mappable unichip and live with that..or go for throttle bodies and you'l need a decent full ECU system not unlike emerald or OMEX to handle the fuelling.but this costs a fair bit..at least Ł1500 id say for that alone...
after that, its a high comp bottom end build..for pistons and rods its Ł1800 in parts without labour so thats an extreme..but it will stay together and enable revvving to 8k all day long..
for a livable RS2000 thats quicker and more joy to drive, but affordable to run..id say get the headwork done and enjoy that..you can always get more done later and chat spec with the likes of Andy and also Aldon automotive at a later date.hope that helps

Okies so is he the only person to speak to about headwork.?
Would just the cams make any diffence at all in the standard head? If so what cams are more sought after???

you can just use cams in the standard head but you'l loose out on torque low down and combined they make the best use of each others merits.
but yeah,its still do-able..
Im using kent 2001 spec cams which are probably the tamest really.
they give around 12-15bhp and dont affect idling or general running.
its still smooth and drivable with this profiles in the head.
you could possibly go one set higher(cant remeber the actual profile of these)and still retain a good idle..it will be slightly lumpy thou atthis point.
and the next stage up again is def not for you as their proper lumpy buggers and not ideal for town driving etc..best left alone unless you have a decent breathing system like throttle bodies to justify such cams.
maybe worth speaking to Burton and asking them if they could re-grind your existing cams for a wilder profile cos that would be cheaper still.

if you do order from them,be sure to phone rather than order online cos they tend to be a bit slow off the mark using the online service lol..
https://www.burtonpower.com/default.aspx
also find these chaps really good on prices, have ordered various bits from them and recieved within 2 days too.

if you need anymore tuning advice and anything concerning these cars, your best bet is to visit www.rs2000-16v.co.uk
theirs not alot these chaps dont know or havent come across.
