Default Cougar EGR valve

Im new to this forum and i mentioned a problem when saying hi in the general chat area. So hello again.
Basically what im wanting to know is can the EGR valve on my 2.0L zetec cougar be plugged as the 4-2-1 manifold i have to fit does not have the connection for the piping to the valve.
Iv been told this valve is for emmisions on startup, to recirc' a certain amount of exhaust gasses back into the engine for burning.
Therefor if i remove it (if i can even do it) would i fail an MOT on emissions too?

Thanks.
Paul.

EGR valve NOTHING TO DO WITH START UP ONLY, whoever told you this is mixingit up with PULSE AIR SYSTEM.
EGR can be disconnected as I did on mine but went L.O.S. when I did this so must keep on PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL SENSOR.
Some seem ok with this removed but others not.
Will n ot in any way affect idle emissions as this is only used when cruisng on light throttle(EGR).
Pulse air is a series of pipes connected 1+4, 2+3 that feed air into exhaust with cold engine to allow continuing burning of gasses inside exhaust to heat cat up quicker.
