Hi, I've just put a original Ford stereo and amp into my rs turbo. I had to run new Ariel cable from tailgate to the front, was a bit of a job but got it sorted, I've run the original speaker cables from back to front as it had the right connections for the amp. When I turned it on it was so loud and couldn't turn it down, not sure if it's the stereo that's knackered or something wired wrong. Has anyone had the same issue ???

I would say their is a fault with the unit. You can't really wire them up wrong. If it's working then it's wired right as far as I'm aware

 

that's what I was thinking. I have another unit but no code for it

 

found a old unit I had. Luckily it was one that doesnt need the key code. Tried it and works fine. So yes must have been faulty volume switch on the other one
