Default subs keep blowing up

Ive got a Fli 12inch sub and box in the boot of the wifes car.The other weeks one of the subs stopped working so I put another Fli 12inch sub in the box. Now tonight its started to fart.

Is it just cause the fli subs are shit cause this is the 3rd Fli sub ive chamged in this box or is it the way ive got the sub wired up or is the amp not set correctly.

Ive had a fusion sub in the cossie for about 2 years and thats been spot on.

Help me please. Lol.

sounds to me that the gain on the amp is to high and it is clipping. That will kill a sub quite quickly.

What do you mean buy clipping.I will have a look at the gain and turn it down a bit.

Been a user here for many years and never felt the need to post but "This will fuck up Glenn_s subs so he can't play his bangin' choons anymore." had me in tears of laughter

Thanks for the info. Is there anyway to repair these subs are are they completely fooked.

One sub doesnt work ie no sound and the one in the car now sounds like its farting.

So to fix this problem I take it I turn the gain down and can turn the bass up?????

Thanks for all your help buy the way.Ive had subs in all my cars and have never fooked them like I have with these Fli subs.

most subs cant be repaired but some top end stuff u can buy cones etc to have them replaced.i reckon turn the gain down on the amp and increase bass or sub level on head unit a bit

does sound like the subs are being overpowered and popping
