The remote on my Kenwood head unit has totally packed up and being a older unit can't find one anywhere so was wondering if a universal remote will do it anyone tried?

Whats the model number ? or the head unit model ?
I have a few old remotes kicking around.
All the correct remotes for your HU are on the same frequency and will work.
Unsure on universals.
