original 90spec stereo wont receive FM channels

my 89 efi xr3i has the original ford stereo and equalizer the stereo wont pick up FM and hasnt done for a long time, any ideas what i could do to get it to work? cheers

sounds like the booster for the ariel has packed up...IIRC they are located in the tailgate when you remove the panel
