sound deading
i am thinking of sound deading my mk 6 escort and wanted to know the best place to start, ie doors, boot, floor. I dont want to spend maga bucks, just the paces where unwanted sound comes.
all so whats the best to buy, ie brown bread, vibe, etc

The best stuff I use is Second Skin Damplifier Pro...Not much out there that touches it really...rate it alot better than Dynamat Xtreme even! Easier to apply and doesnt need heating (although heating it makes it easier to apply)
As to where you want to start, that depends on what you are using it for? is it to stop rattling and panels resonating when you play bass? If so, then start with the tailgate area and work forward...if its to make the midrange speakers sound deeper, crisper, and give more bass, then start with the doors and seal them up...
If its to get rid of road noise, there are also other products you may want to look at
