Default Are these amps any good?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=260175060090

Just looking into buying a new amp for my car and have found this on ebay.

Is it any good. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what I need to get decent bass as I am just starting to learn about this side of things?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Dave

If your after a cheap bass amp check out the JBL GTO series of amps.

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/2910.html

Also when looking for an amp go by the RMS figures not PEAK power.

this is a great site for reference too:-

www.bcae1.com

As previously said - RMS is where it's at, not poxy "Peak music Power"

Like saying my 1.1 fiesta has 300bhp "peak"

Cheers Bassboy, much appreciated.

I have at the minute a 12" spl 500w sub. I can get you the specs if you need them and a Pioneer MP3 head unit. Basically all I'm after is a decent amp to power the sub which won't last 2 minutes. I've gone through 2 amps in the last 12 months, they were only cheap crap though to be honest.

Cheers

The sub is SPLX Model SPL12HQ, 700w and 4ohm. No idea what the RMS output is as it's not marked on.

Would the this one be suitable?
