Quick question in need of a quick answer if possible?

A bought a head unit with a USB port and wondered if there would be enough power in the headunit to run it just by plugging it on or would i need to get a power cap etc... ?

I will be getting a sub soon and components so at some stage i will need a cap but at the moment just have the usb harddrive!
