Makes no odds to me as i passed in 1998 on a big bike test
but my bro is about to get a bike and start on the tests.
am i right in thinking
CBT allows you to ride 125cc or up to 33bhp (age 17+) with L plates for 2 years then the CBT expires.
Small bike test for those under age 21 allows you to ride 125cc or upto 33bhp without L plates, then after 2 years your license is unrestricted.
Large Bike test to be taken on 500cc or larger for those over age 21 and allows you to ride anything
????????

If you take the CBT (17+) you can ride a bike upto 125cc with LPlates NO pillions No motorways.
If you take and then pass the theory and practical tests on a bike between 100 and 125cc's you can then ride a bike of ANY cc's but restricted to 33bhp (E.G Yamaha R6 but restricted from 128bhp to 33bhp) you then lose the LPlates, can take pillions (as long as insurance allows) and go on Motorways. After 2 years you can ride without any retrictions.
