Default CBT Questions

Hey,
Couple of questions that i hope you guys can answer for me.
I passed my car driving test in 1987, does that mean i wouldn't have to do a CBT as i have Cat A on the provisional part on my licence, from what i can gather and have read it means i wouldn't have too as i also have Cat P as in i was entitled to have a full moped licence because i passed my driving test before 1990.
Any ideas ?

As you obtained your car license before 1st February 2001, you can ride a 50cc ped (so that defines a maximum speed of 30 MPH) I think you will need L plates as well and you will not be able to carry a pillion passenger, as you have not got a motorcycle license!

If you think you have a full moped license I suspect the only extra two things this allows you to do is remove the plates and carry a pillion.

You need to do a CBT, before you can ride anything over 50cc and upto 125cc

i think you can ride a moped without L plate and a 125 on L's once a CBT is completed
but the CBT only lasts 3 years?

they just changed the learner tests last week also its a right fucking pa-lava now

CBT lasts 2 years, but yes you can ride anything upto 125CC, SO LONG as you are 17 or older!

You are a learner in both cases and thus require plates, remember a CBT is not a license, it's merely basic training, you do not have a motorcycle license and can not carry pillion passengers.

If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 you are qualified to ride a moped without L plates (and/or D plates in Wales), although it is recommended that you complete CBT before riding on the road. If you passed your car driving test after this date you MUST complete CBT before riding a moped on the road.
