I do like the 400's, shame i'm 6'3" and look like I'm riding a childs bike when I sit on them..

I used to know someone who put a CBR600 motor into a CBR400. Had a little frame work to fit the head and carbs in IIRC as it's a little wider but externally it looked like a 400.. needless to say it went quite well.. I would imagine you could fit an early fireblade engine in if you were so inclinded / a skilled enough fabricator..

mine started as a katana `pop up headlight model` but decided to streetfighter it.
it now has a buell seat, gsxr 750 engine, mix of vfr 750/400 single sider rear end, harris rear sets etc. it`s sat in the back room untouched for the last couple of years

Taken the Cmaino off the road, it's an unreliable heap basically! Fucking jap crap.

Got this now:

Derbi Vamos "sport edition"

Only shit bit is the fuel guage is broke (Had to push the bastard 6 miles home ) Other than that, perfect...

Except that, like all 50cc, it's slow as fuck.

My latest in a long line of two wheel tarmac terrorists

She's absolutely stunning in the flesh (metal) but her indoors wants me to get back into 4 wheels so she's going up for sale

Carbon looks well smart were did ya get that from ? Ive gone +2 on rear and standard front found this keeps front up for longer changing gearing throws speedo way out tho whats yours like for transmision noise on down change in first gear? mines quiet down every gear till first then sounds like its strait cut. dont want to pull it down till ive had abit of feedback from other k5 owners. cheers

Carbon was on the bike when i bought it all i have fitted extra is the Power Commander 5 and a custom map not a pro at gearbox's but sounds like you have some sort of wear on first gear , mine are silky smooth a mate of mine has just had his 04 fireblade rebuilt due to slipping into 2nd from 3rd and cost him Ł1000 worth getting the k5 done tho best machine out there for the dollar

I am debating weather to have the K&N fitted and the Akrapovic put on it

1st bike, really looking forward to having it delivered to the South of France and the sun, l pick it up on the 25th from Webb's in Peterborough, l would add that they have been great
