Anyone ridden a GSXR750 or a blade?help needed with nxt bike
yup my 1st years no claims will be up in may and i may well have a job comin so what bike will i get next?
i've always loved GSXR's and they kinda ma favourite bike.but could i handle a blade or is that a ridiculous idea?
how would riding these bikes compare power wise to my CBR6?would i just be scared shitless?!
i've heard you need 2 yrs NCB before insuring a blade is this right?who would insure me with just 1yr ncb?im with carole nash and they said i needed 2yrs for sure.i'm guessin the gsxr750 could be insured with 1yr ncb.
help pls

ahhh glad you've had experience cos i gonna need help decidin!
so by more comfortable i take it ya mean more room?or were ya meanin it aint so powerful and mental as a blade so ya were more comfortable with it?
how old were both bikes and what did ya do with em?is the power far more mental than my wee 600 and im gonna shit myself or what?im not stupid and know the throttle goes both ways and im guessin these bigger bikes are gonna have awesome brakes and better handlin as standard
throw any advice my way
glad yer gettin your own bike back!bet yer well excited lol!

i only had a blast up and down the motorway with them, the blads was nice but i thought it was a little to much for me at that time! dont get me wrong the blade was comfy as well, but the gixer fitted me better kind of!
best thing to do is try to get a ride on them both, as each one is different and its a personnal choice thingy.
good luck

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Can't help on the riding side of these bikes but apparantly Honda are doing some special insurance deal at the moment so that could make a Blade more affordable.
At the end of the day they are only as fast as you ride them.

Shameless plug time
have you been to http://www.mcnninjas.co.uk
Very friendly bunch even if you don't ride a green machine. I mentioned the insurance thing as someone on the ninja site is trading their ZX6R for an 03 blade as the insurance was less Go figure........

Chop you can get insured on it easy. Ive had quotes for R1's mate....just to see what it would cost but nevertheless if i had the money and no brains i could get one
Personally....even tho im new to it all....from the research ive done over last couple of months, with power figures, people views, insurance etc, i dont see any point going from a 600 to a 750. I would personally keep it another year and then go for a big bike. My intentions are to do that...wether i do is another thing lol!!

i beg to differ
speaking to a good friend with a zx9r he said if he didnt have that the bike he'd have is a gsxr750
says they more than capable of what the gsxr thou version can do except they dont have the ultimate top speed.theyd be closer down some country roads than you'd imagine
the thou is just mental.
he says his ninja will pretty much match any other bike around the 900/1k mark in acceleration and it handles like a dream.apparently the bike is massively under rated!
so who ya gettin r1 quotes from?give us a list of ins companies that gave you a "reasonable" quote pls
but im prob gonna be gettin the 750 nxt

Hey Hey Chopster..
I was at a bike show today at ingleston and have to say the gixxer 750 caugh my eye aswell and after lengthy discussion with Mr C it sounds like a pretty decent 2 year old buy. He said I shouldn't waste my time with a 600 as I'd just want something bigger in a couple of months.
So I just think i'll skip the whole 600 game entirely.
