Hi mate,
Get the Mille You should be able to get a R version for that money as wheel with all the goodies like Ohlins, OZ wheels and the carbon bits
Bought mine in 2003 and still have it now. Its not as quick as a Gixer/Ninja but i giggle everytime i go out on it. Oh and the sound
2001 Mille RSVR in yellow(best colour )
Done about 15000 miles on it since(now done 19000 in total). No problems apart froma corroded rear shock link. Reliable 99% of time, the 1% being when i haven't ridden it for a while and the battery doesn't like it.
Fitted wavey front discs, changed gearing to 16/44 from standard 17/42, had wheels painted Imperial Blue and it has Aprilia Racing titanium exhaust and matching ECU Eprom
Rode it through France and Spain to Moto GP in Oct 2005 and was remarkably comfy given that i'm about 6ft 1.
