did my CBT in torrential rain today and tbh stuggled getting to grips with the controls and where to look with the steering.
In fact I binned the test bike whilst doing ovals round the cones

I was ok when out on the road (well much better IMO)
got the CBT as i'd kind got hang of it...
but the fact at how slippy it was and how unfamilar I was with the controls has knocked my confidence severely for doing the DAS....
instructor reckons I should get a 125 for a bit so I stop riding like a car driver and work on the control and looking where I am going bit first... or at least do full 5 day course.
my plan had been CBT.. das get a 600 and take it steady.... but now having a rethink due to winter months and wet weather looming.
maybe 125 now for practice - work towards DAS in say month then wait till good weather and saved up more pennies aswell for 600 in the summer?
think id feel confident with more time on the road - 1. 3 quarter hours i dont think has settled me after the car park figure of 8 trouble lol
whats reckon?

i'm going to look at a 125 tomorrow night (today now lol)
Just want to get out on the road now and learn to ride properly and comfortably.
hopefully it will sell on easy enough so I don't get stuck with it or lose too much money on it when I upgrade in a few months.
anyone know how easy it is to destrict the 125s for when I've passed my test? is it reversible as don't want to knock the value too much.

Melv, I have a mint and I mean mint Honda CBR-125 in repsol racing colours thats not even a year old. It's got comming upto 3000 miles on it and prestine condition. I am thinking about selling it for Ł1750, you can have for Ł1500 if you want.
Cheers - Sunny.

Cheers Sunny nice offer, I'll consider it.
Going to look at one tonight - its in the same village I live in as I have no helmet gloves equipment etc yet it would be a lot simpler logicistically as I could walk it home lol.
If its not what i'm after - then i'll be in touch.
Rough Idea are you milton keynes sort of direction? can't remember!

sunny,
cheers but have agreed in principle to buy the one I went to look at.
isn't a patch on yours in terms of condition but its less than half a mile from home and the nsr looks a bigger bike.
hope youve managed sell though now - nice r1!!
