but it just doesnt float my boat,

all my mates think im weird, wot you lot reckon, do you think i can get into it or is it game over on the biking thing,

seems like you have already made your mind up

personally, cars will never give you the feeling a bike can give. they are special pieces of machinery

hey bro ..i know you've made up ypur mind and are selling the bike but whats the reasons for not wanting to ?? is it just too lazzy? no time ? or to scred as bikes are very dangrous?

i went through a phaze like this not too long agao and put my bike up for sale , but when it came to it i just was like "no no no!!" what the hell am i doing ....the reason i lov my bikes soo much and its hard to explaine to someone this but ill try is ....well the respect and freedom ...its like u can be a wee nerd ( not that i am ...... i hope ha ha) but when u get on to the bike with the lid on people now view u as a biker and in my eyes thats a respect thing ( could just be all balls what im saying here lol) its like a double life ....geek by day ..weekend warrior ...(at the weekends i guess lol (only if its dry but lol) ) so bro before u do 100% decided to sell ask yourself this " will car drivers all nod at ? if you are your mates park up do other drivers just randomly come over and start talking to u ?" cos in the bike world thats the way it is ......

shit i got a bit carried away there .. ha ha hope u understand what im saying and if ur still felling the same then noone can say abad word about u bro ...hope u make the right desision

cheers rab

I gotta admit, I had a two year break.

After working in the same dealership for 4 years I was sick of the sight of bikes so bought my stage 3 cossie.

One engine build, greys, T34, 500 cooler etc etc later and it still wasn't as fast as my old R1 so I got shot and got another R1

Biggest (financial) mistake I ever made selling that first R1

Ah well, back on two wheels now which is all that matters

My SV650S has sat in the garage for ages without me using it, turn the engine over and keep the battery charged though. When I first got it I rode it all the time and loved it and still do, however got back into cars and so the bike has been neglected abit. During this period when I was out in my car bikers really started to annoy me with stupid overtakes and speeding in built up areas. This was all topped off one day when in the centre of town I pulled out of a junction as the traffic was stopped at a set of lights down the road, as I pulled out the lights turned to green and this guy on a R1 blasted away from the lights and came screeming up behind me and was revving his engine like crazy with a loud can on it. This was in a built up area on a Saturday morning ( very busy ) and he then came alongside me giving me the tosser hand signal.
Since this incident it has really put me off biking and bikers, but this was only one case and many other bikers have been very friendly and helpful.
I reckon it's about time the bike went though as it just ain't used

hi all

went out to my mates earlier on it, the looks i get on it make me smile, some bloke in a transit was on the phone at the lights, i pulled up next to him, and he wound down his window and put his phone out so the guy on the other end could hear it,

its got carbon fibre remus cans at the mo, bloody noisey things, but passed a mot, lol

then people stop and look, ive rode a new r6 and it doesnt get the attention, nicer to ride tho,

now ive used it for a while, seem to feel abit better about it, nice that other bikers nod, a good community,

will hold off on the sale thing, after listening to you lot and my mates, and give it some more time.

just rode home, great feeling in the dark

Bryan

ps, well done lee for passing
