changing tyre profiles...?
I've settled on a set of Dunlop D207rr's for my bike but I'm a bit stumped with the front tyre...
its an odd profile (65) but I have read of people changing it for a 70 profile and they have reported better stability
This sounds good to me but will I be in danger of upsetting anything?
cheers for any replies

Just changed from a 120/70/17 207rr to a 120/60/17 on my ZX6R track bike and makes it turn in that little bit nicer, so the only problem you may have is it will turn in slightly slower and also the tyre may catch the front mudguard
Fitting the higher 70 profile tyre will make it more stable but with the 'slowing' up of the steering as above.

i had a 70 on my old ninja it was terrible and just before i was selling it i swaped my mate the front wheel so he would get a new tyre and his was a 65 and my bike rode so much nicer
go for the bt014 bridgestone m8 good tyres and they do a 120/65/17

yep,the higher you go in profile the faster the roll-in, as the profile
will be pointier,
besides if its an r6 you have you WILL fuck your front mudgaurd as there is not enough clearence on speed expansion from the standard mudgaurd mounts.
a low profile is more stable at speed ,but will roll in fast enough for any street,
my r1 has a pointy set of tyres 208gps to be precise, and im a roundabout knee down sorta guy so i get loadsa leant over grip, but on the track at over 120 its not very stable, spesh with bumpy roads er tracks,
just dont go balls out down the back straights.(still no steering damper).
