Check to see if theres in any service history 1st service, think there done every 3000mls after that ,new plug and some decent 2 stroke oil should go on for ages ive seen dt125 with30,0000ml on original piston as longs you look after them they go on for long time,

check for leaking fork seals shouldnt be leaking at this mileage but if the person before was doing jumps then maybe,

check brake pads front and rear as they might be worn out at this mileage and make sure they havnt scored the discs if gone too low

If your test is in one month, why do you want a 50?

beggers cant be choosers your first bike will be everything, even if its pants,

ive had the c70 50 90,the dt50,the rd50and a ts 50,mb5 was my m8ts,mbx50 another mates,mt50,again a 16stone fat boys bike,

the best was all of them, the ts was prob it,but the rd was very close,

the cub range are unreal, i run out of oil twice and the engine stopped, let it cool down and off i went for a garage.just that they look mad.

the ts top end rebuild can be done really quickly, and new pistons rings and gasket set could be had(in the early 90s i ad(wifesbike))for under 30 notes.

the dandiest 50 of all is the new derbi, its the fastest too, reaching a race ready 70. ,there are a few other smart 50s about, tho new,you should ask mcn to point you in the right direction.

Oi!

My DT50 was legendary. Fastest 50 in the village. Only beaten by my mates TS but my superior riding skills more than made up for that
