Default My 2 speed RC nitro car 1/6th scale

Hi chap just got this back from a service, this is my Protech Promax RS, its 2 speed with 4wd

Bought it off my mate who hadnt run it for a while so i though I might aswell treat myself after a good few years of not having a performance car

These are aparently rare as parts are tough to get hold of, im looking for bodyshells

It has adjustable camber/toe too

I havent run it yet, will get a chance over the weekend

Nice car bud! I had one of those a couple year ago and was surprised how fast they were. I just bought a off road 1/8 buggy yesterday as no where round here to use a road one

I had to practice in a car park and was slow, but at full pelt.its reality quick. I damaged the front prop but repaired it perfectly. Need to put more pics and a video up

had some issues with the car, the battery on the car dies whilst it was going full pelt and the fail safe switch didnt cut in so with the throttle jammed open it went in to a curb at full pelt

caused some damage: the front prop bent in to an S shape and it broke the servo gears which took me ages to figure out as the steering wasnt do its thing properly car was out of action for 2 weeks

so my dad straightened the prop perfectly and i ordered a couple of parts:

New

So much better as its more powerful than the old one

Old servo stripped for inspection

No apparent damage to the gears, the problems were internal in the motors, it used to turn all the way left and then jam there

This is the new one i ended up buying, much more faster and powerful, noticed the difference straight away

good price too but isnt the best brand apparently, doesnt matter as the car runs brilliantly

Next time i run it il get some action shots

I have a protech phaser 4 in bits in my rc cupboard. Did the 1/6th scale chassis conversion with a clio shell. Proper mare to get parts for now and i bent the chassis. Ran mine rwd with a picco .26 monster engine. Use to leave rubber on the tarmac outside our old workshop. I run hyper buggys now as parts are so easy to get hold of.
