I think the problem you guys have with the milliput and filler, is that you might being putting it on to thick.
Milliput is best left for 12 hours or so to harden..then it should be dead easy to sand with a 120 then a 240 wet an dry..Then gradually go down a grade to get a smooth finish..
You really should not need a dremel to shape filler on a 1/18TH scale car
yep i just wack it on then take it back
the only problem im having is there is a change of plan with the kit and a big chunk of filler previously needed is taking ages to shift !

wel it shuda bn set den coz i left it since wednesday night!!
i find milput better to use than filler as miliput can be applied and shaped to near on the exact shape u want first time..wet it down to smooth it out and u will find it easier to get smooth flat finish. most of the time it will then only need a light sand for any bumps/imperfections.make sure u leave it long enough to dry otherwise it will not sand down very well, this is were u are getting the sanding problems,if not left to dry properely then it will tend to peel off when sanding.
i also use a dremmel like dean as using the sanding block on it u can get perfectly straight lines by using the block, easier than trying to sand it straight by eye..
bloody hell i have been looking for this for days lol i didnt know we had our your section nice one Steve
i have been away working for 10 days only got back on wednesday
been mucking about with beemer tonight
