Found this pic on the net of a 1/32 scale slot car.. not sure if the bonnet pins are scratch built but they add a lot of realism to the model..its hard to tell its such a small scale ! and would'nt it be nice if you could get a 1/18th scale driver figure like this ! (hate to put it on a scalextric track incase i scratched it !)

I think the saloon car racers of old ! used to have metal strips to secure the windscreens in case they came away from the windscreen surround , before the days of silastic and silicone !

take a look at the bodykits we sell on ebay , reason we dont sell a lot has nothing to do with price it is all about the buyer having the ability to fit it correctly , if it was easy to modify everyone would do it.
i think us lot on here are hardcore modders who push the boundries on what it is possible to achieve with the models and that reflects in the price they sell for .
i honestly do beleive that some of the models on here would reach well in excess of Ł300.00 plus if sold to private collecters.
there is an ever increasing market for them and detail is the key.
ill shut up now.....lol

almost forgot to mention ,
larger real aluminium wheels now available from model motorvation , will get some pics up shortly .
we have made a few tweeks to the design as i wasnt happy with the bevel on the one's we originally were goint to put in to production so i have now gone with the same bevel we have on our rs 4 spokes and i think they look much better and more realistic.
the polished finnish is on an even par with the smaller wheels we do as anyone who has ours will know already.

dont shut up mate your right like the estate's, rs turbo's, s2's and rapid's sapphire they are the sort of one's that would probably fetch well over Ł150 and that sapp well if he get that looking really good well i wouldnt like to say how much he would get how much would u say??????

couldnt put a price on it to be honest mate.
have said for a long time rapids stuff is the best i have seen and i dont think he will be topped on detail either , thats why we call him hawkeye as he will always let you know when something is not quite right but you try and find a detail out of place on his?????? you wont.....lol
i have a mate who has seen his pictures on here and he has said to me he would go to a fair amount of money for one of his models , didnt name anything specific rapid had done but would take any he had done .
the other factor is he will take on a hard job like the sapphire and pull it off .
this make that model the rarest of the rare hence the price it is worth goes up.

i think a lot more mate.
i sold 5 mk1 estates to a collecter in germany for Ł230.00 each and they are easy to do compared to the sapphire.others have done estates and van's now but i dont think you will see another sapphire anytime soon.
there is a massive amount of sapphire owners that would give there left bollock for one in 1/18 scale .
i think if he were to take it to a ford car show he would walk out of there with in excess of Ł300.00 easy.

here's a few pics of the profile of the wheels showing the finish and bevel.
the best thing about these will be the price..........Ł1.50 dearer than our rs 4 spokes at Ł18.50 plus postage. will do them to you guys at Ł1.50 more than you pay for the rs 4 spokes on here.
if your not sure what we charge you guy's pm us.

i wont buy modded models as i prefer to make them myself like you and the others on here do , but i am also aware of what there worth in the open market as i have been building models to spec for a few private collecters , alancdavis on here was one of my first private customers and you will be amazed at what some will offer you without giving them a price.i say if your going to sell any of yours hold out for top money there worth it.

started off doing the decals on ebay and had people ask if i could supply pictures of some of my work , so naturally you send them the pictures of the one off models you have done and they want them so been as you wont sell your ones you price them to build them one.....lol simple's
i listed 1 mk1 estate on ebay and it sold for Ł231.00 i think , i sent a secound chance offer to the next highest bidder on the understanding they would have to wait for it to be built and they come back with an order for 5.
as far as i know he gave three away to customers , 1 is in his collection and the other one is on display in his shop. he is the biggest retailer of classic ford parts in germany.
i still keep in touch with him as he speaks good english and is dead handy when i order bits from german ebay!!
