Default Agreed values

Just been on the phone to Adrian Flux and need to insure. Flux agreed value requires no official valuation. Whereas need to insure do.

Does anyone have any experience of either, good or bad? How do I get an independent agreed valuation?

Cheers

To get an agreed value off the RSOC you have to be a member

I have one from the rs owners club but couldn't use it on my insurance lol
Rs owners club told me they can only value the car as a saff cosworth not what's bolted to it others may say other wise but I've over 15 grands worth of receipts on mods but still they would only value it at 8 grand!
But need to insure did it on mods so insured it at 12 grand not using the rs valuation but its still good to have that bit of paper saying its worth that in there eyes

Andy the 8k is what the RSOC think your car is worth they dont make it 15k cos you have spent that much . I guess the 8k aint far out its what mine was valued at at 500bhp many years back when the car was 12 years newer & one of the most Powerfull at the time. They are old bangers bud you need something very special to be worth any money.

Yes that's 8 grand for the car as its sits with out taking into account any mods.
I know it's an old sierra lol but that don't make it any easier when you won't to insure it to cover some of what you have spent on it which is my point the rs valuation was no good for that

I use Performance Direct ... They send out the appropriate forms, you fill in and you send 6 pictures ... easy and very efficient
