Default why the hell is my car insurance still high ???

where am i going wrong , as far as i can see it should be a lot cheaper now but no matter who i try its always between £700 - £1200

main details are :
2006 ford ranger , double cab , 2.5
33 years old
full no claims
low crime rate postcode
kept on a driveway
no accidents or convictions
common law married with kids
full license for 15 years

makes no sense why its that much when i insured a saph cos for half that ten years ago !

I take it you are shopping around/using price comparison websites etc?

Have you tried reducing your estimated annual mileage and adding a second driver of lower risk, ie; someone older with more driving experience and clean licence, as these always help a bit

90% sure it will be your profession, alter it so you are still within your actual profession, when i put service engineer it doubles to when i put fabricator, but i do both so i aint lying

im a HGV driver , would think that would help being a "so called" professional driver

also, ive got the mrs (10+ years driving / full NCB ) on the policy which brought it down a bit

also limited to 10k miles

Your profession doesn't make all the much difference.

What's your postcode? Your area makes the biggest difference IMO.

I'm 25, own a brand new VW pickup and pay £900 with no mileage limit with 7yrs NCB and I don't own a house.

Some places/people seem to just be higher for no reason!

You either married and have a certificate to prove it or are merely cohabiting in law. They ditched the phrase "living as man and wife" in the benefit system legislation a long time ago, even if commonly referred to as such.

I've got to lol at all us UK peeps bitching about insurance fucking us over
Them Canadians pay between $150 and $350 a month for insurance!!!!!
But they do also get policies which last 3 months
They don't seem to offer any ncb discount but some will not punish you for having one own fault accident in your lifetime
