Got the oppurtunity to get a van as Im doing some improvement works at my house and garden etc and just phoned my curretn insurer who I have my car with and they cant/wont mirror my no claims etc and want a fortune ( £700 Plus ). Im only really going to use it at weekends for tip runs and B&Q etc. Anyone got any knowledge on where or how to get reasonable second vehicle insurance

I just used compare the market, I ended up with cover for £300 odd I think it was for my Astra van with zero no claims bonus to use on that policy, it helps a lot if you have another insured car.

 

my renewal for my transit was 630 i saw them adverts on the tv aviva gave them a ring sdp and personal business use £267 result

them compare the market sites are a rip they add on all sorts that you dont need which bumps up the premium
