Hi,
im doing my test next week and i've been looking around on insurance and to be honest, its a bloody joke!
i've been quoted £3600 ish for my mk5 1.3 fiesta flight.

any body know of any good companies for cheap insurance as i cant go under my parents?

Admiral were cheapest for me this year. Have you used comparison websites? Doesn't take long.
£3600 does seem a bit steep, although you'll be lucky to get insurance for much less that 1800 on a 1.3.

Anybody know of any insurers who will insure a new driver £2000 or under on their own policy???

best advice i can give,
stay away from fiesta's and any other cars that can be associated to young boy racers.

try insuring a micra or something similar for the 1st year or so
