I don't see what's wrong with PS3 online, i have a xbox 360 as well btw.
But if i go online to play COD 4 or whatever else i want to i never have any issues at all?
with the PS3 it just works fine, and the ps3 slim i have is very quiet

I agree, i've got both consoles too and never have a problem with either online.

I have a PS3 .. but really fancy getting an XBPX 360 elite.. purely for Forza 3!

One of them they didnt fix so quick, they had it 3 weeks before they sent me an email saying it was, and i quote, 'beyond economical repair', but i need fear not, they would send me a brand new replacement the next day, the brand new replacement was the worst of the lot, it lasted 3 hours 
you got 3 hours of it? whats your problem im sure you got another one

i was going to get an xbox 360 as i played on a mates one and it was great but the fact he was on his fifth one put me off so i got a ps3 two years ago and its still going fine .

360 owners will say Way better online gaming + online community -> What an awesome idea, lets fork out 40 quid a year to play online games after spending so much on a console and games, i love to connect my xbox360 wirelessly...... oh wait, thats another 40 quid for an adapter

ive been putting off getting one for a while (been wanting forza 3 and the liberty city stories pack for gta4) and last night thought, right tomorrow im gonna go get an elite!
then saw this thread, fuck it, Ps3 still working 2 years on, under an inch of dust in a hot environment, i can live without an xbox lol

If you have an Xbox 360 then why go and buy a PS3 ? Baffles the fuck out of me when people do this then say the PS3 is shit. Reliability is a key issue in why I won't ever own an Xbox. I have no faith in it, and my m8 Andy bought a 360 with Forza 2, got it home and it shattered the disc. Took it back to game and got the console and the game swapped over. He has since upgraded to an Elite and the noise the fucking thing makes 
My PC is quiter then a 360 and I have 2 fans on the back, the cpu fan, and the psu fan. My PS3 is absolutely silent. It's all a case of preferance but deep down, those that know anything about gaming, know the PS3 is a far better machine and it hasn't even been put through it's paces buy a games manufacturer yet

just back from the game shop, a quick swap no questions asked from the staff and ive got a new console, this one is much quieter than the original one. the original obviously had a problem from the start.
also bought a forza whilst i was there.....

Its not the way it performs online, its the community, downloadable items the way you can interact with each other.
The Gamerscore system singlehandedly reignited the second hand games market, It made people wanted to complete games again.
Anyway thats enough from me. Its a big subject.

i sold my Ps3 before the home thing with the trophys came out. I knew there was talk of it at the time.
i cant see how PS3 could have come on that much since i sold mine...
Xbox Live was so much better only like 6-8 months ago when i had both.

according to the guys in the shop, the xbox is far better for games and online but the ps3 wins it on durability.they recommend i keep the xbox as i was considering swapping it for a ps3.
they know the things better than me.
unfortunately ive now found its a duff gta4 disc and not the console as its not working on the new console but the forza is.

I have an elite just now for just over a year and never had a problem with it at all.
My cousin also has had is arcade one for 4 years and its only just died.
I did get a ps3 when they came out but sold it after 6 months after getting bored for gran turismo to come out, i love the 360 and thats coming from me who used to only own playstations.
Just got my copy of forza just now so im off to have a blatt round some tracks

no, i bought 1 game at the time and that was it.dvd's go in the dvd player and music cd's go in the hifi.
ive had a shot of forza....i dont see what the fuss is about. what does it offer different to any other racing game?

I know that its each to their own but I have a PC, PS3 and a 360 and if you gave me the choice I would take a 360 over the PS3 purely because of the range of games is better for the 360 and always will be and surely this is the main reason why you buy a games console!
I've owned 360's for more than 2 years and not had one rrod or problem. Make sure it is in a well ventilated area and not covered and keep your receipt!
The PS3's technology and reliability is far more superior but the PS3 games catalogue isn't.

I heard today, the PS Store is gonna be having PS2 games to download soon & we will get the motion thing that wii has for playing games... Also heard Sony will be having alot of old Dreamcast games in the near future to download also...Can't wait
