i got another 30 horse from fitting my cooler, but that also let me run another couple of psi.

the increase in power is from the raised boost pressure.
the cooler just makes it the charge temp lower in turn letting you run more boost

300ATW is a possiblity with a good stage three engine and that turbo

300 ATW is fecking quick!

to measure your hp AVA will run your car in third.

mines was ran in 4th due to it wheels spinning on the rollers in 3rd.

if we could get grip in 3rd mine would prob do closer to 420 ATW

no way they can get that power on standard compression, cams etc.

300 atw wheels is best to expect before ripping the engine to bits

would also need to change the greens for blues or maybe even greys

yeah would be nice to see 300.

thats defo the limit for greens.

mines had the comp ratio lowered abit but apart from that was a standard engine.

It made 287 atw, running a t34 with a 55 back

pmsl at ATW power figures are all estimated

if that's the case, why bother putting it on the rollers to 'measure' it?

most turbo cars never make the exact same power figs twice.

things like air temps, charge temps make massive differences.

unless its engine out and on a dyno is always an estimate in my eyes

No m8,what he said was all rolling road figures are estimates and he'd rather put it on an engine dyno to check it.

a std internal engine, except H/G can make 360bhp @ fly on blues and t34 surely,

and on a larger turbo, say t4 and greys will see 420@fly.

Got my pro alloy cooler fitted yesterday to.

Car does seem nippier and smoother . Surely not 30bhp gain though, Thought it was more like 10 ?

Where do you have your Dump Valve (if u have one). Mine was coming out of the small outlet on the ford cooler but the new pro one doesnt have that.

dump valve re-located to cold side of engine.

you either need a new inlet hose with dump valve take off or you can get a fitting kit from halfords.

is a metal t piece that means you have cut the hose and fit this in the middle.

I don't run a dump valve m8,but have blanked it off on the cold side hose.

Ah never noticed ur reply rapid. Dont fancy using the fitting kit would prefer a proper hose. Once i do get one is it simply a case of cutting the vacum pipe smaller ?

Have checked ebay. nothing at the moment. will keep lookin. its just a standard hose ive got at the mo.

Ive still got the dump valve connected to the vacum pipe but going into nothing (just cable tied up). Will this do any harm or should i blank of the vacum end until i sort a new hose ?

Either fit a proper blank or do as you've done with the hose already.

I can only discuss power on AVA rollers as thats all i have experence in using.

300 at wheels on AVA rollers would prob be about 350 flyon a rollers down south.

I'm quoting engine dyno figures, not RR guess work figure @ fly as you quote.

Aint Avo RR a home built set up? not a dig, just a question as that wot i got told.

in fact a good std rs500 engine set up on greys make 430bhp@ fly with no problems in the 80's early 90's.
