Took the bumper off and what was underneath?? Yup flakey paint!! So rubbed all that down and also put some fillar in the front panel and dug some more rust out from the headlight panels. After a quick mask up i gave all the bare metal a coat of etch primer (this is an acid type so it eats into the metal, 2 pack should never be put straight onto bare metal) then a few coats of 2 pack, i primed the doors at the same time so its only (only ) really the inside to rub down then its time (at last) to start painting

I used to prefer the look of 18's on it so used them on the road and stuff... BUT wanted the lighter weight of a 17 for the track.
Now I just think 3 doors look better on 17's actually. Mine always sat a bit high on the 18's and looked wrong alot of the time. Saying that the sig pic now is on 18's and that looks good
Will have another look once the new Zoo beam and suspension is fitted.

It's always hard to believe that underneath a car that looks that good on the outside so much rust can still be lurking.
My brothers got a brand new mark 6 fiesta and thats rusting in numerous places.. it was only built a year ago next month, good old fords.
This car is going to be amazing when it's back sporting it's new colours. Can't wait to see it.

Just got to degrease it then mask it up, then seal it up, then etch prime it, then wet on wet prime it then base coat then laquer!! So by the end of the day the inside will be in colour as you can see by the pics i've already painted the top of the bulk head, i did this so the loom can be moved out of the way and make a nicer job of painting the underneath without having the loom in the way.
Sorry the inside isnt going to look that good! It really needs paint stripping and starting from scratch.
