Awesome cars, and can get serious serious power out of them too, well over 300bhp.

Seen them run 11s in other countries.

As per most cars, people are so blinkered and dont realise what stuff is out there and how good they are, that they spend time and money on stuff thats not even close to summat else they can have.

If i had the money to have one as well as the SX and GTR, id love one.

Get one ginge

Ginge, id not worry too much about taking it to a tuner immediatley, plenty of bolt on bits first.

Id also just use a Starlet specialist rather than a general tuner, so you only do the stuff thats worthwhile and not get ripped off, as most tuners charge a bomb.

Fensport are the main Toyoya specialists in the UK, and there tons of Starlet parts listed on their site- www.fensport.co.uk.
But most jap parts id get sent from Japan direct- www.nengun.com and www.greenline.jp

Might wanna check out a Starlet forum to see reccomended mods and in what order. Dunno what one that is tho, never looked.

I think your thinking of the old early 80s starlets mate, like people fit pintos to, they RWD.

Ginge is on about the mid90s ones that are FWD

When I had my 2.8 XR4i I remember following a G40 Polo going down through Wye Valley ( off on holidays to Cornwall ).
Just tagged onto the back of it and kept up with it at first but then the driver started getting a bit faster and we were soon getting a bit "serious". I had to really cane the old V6 to get past in the end - worse thing was that as we overtook, the girl driving gave me a big thumbs up

My girlfriend in the passenger seat thought it was hilarious I'd been embarrassed by a shopping car.................

Had to frantically recite pages 67-91 of the "Driving Excuses" handbook.............
