Unfortunately for them my father spent 30+ years in tyre and rubber research and took let the guy dig a big hole and then took him to pieces.

thats just a line people use to justify there rip off prices,,,,,,, any fooker can charge 400 quid to change a tyre,,,,, dont mean there any good though

Ginge.......Ł17.50 per wheel is not bad mate, specially not for wheels like that, which is what they would have taken into consideration when they quoted Lee.........

Don`t forget, they also have to pay for old tyre disposal etc,and running cost and insurance etc,etc.........Do you expect them to work for fook all..

And i don`t think one of your techs would be offering to replace a Ł300 rim if he fooked it on the machine.....Do you....

Get what you pay for mate......Wouldn`t even take my Escos to a back street to save money,Never mind a Ł40K Skyline...

my point was just cause they charge more DONT mean there any better !!!!

most tyre places let the aprentice's do the tyre jobs,,,,,,, go anywhere, not many tyre shops pay good money so they dont get proper staff,,,,, just ones on a day course when they learn health and saftey aswell as tyre fitting then come back to work after lunch,,,,,, thats the pro ones too

as much as " you get what you pay for" seems a correct comment,,,,,,, its not actually the truth,,,,,,,,, you can pay LOADS of cash for anything and still get ripped off

the techs at my place are proper techs, not a wanna be mechanic and they WONT catch the bead when doing low pro tyres as they aint stupid

they also ALWAYS use side wall sealent too when putting em back on unlike MOST tyre places ive seen and they even do PROPER puncture repairs and not just stick a patch on the inside of the tyre

main dealers dont bodge things, they DO charge ripp off prices based on the fact they have more over heads,,,,,,,, i wouldnt let em time my cams but id deffo let em change a tyre

17.50 plus vat per tyre IS alot of cash,,,,,, its 100% more than the average

Thanks Pops, I did miss that. It was actually only the Benfleet one that was open in the end

They charged alot of money as they are quite big tyres I supposed. Fair enough. 275-30's allround aren't the easiest things to fit I suppose! Thanks again for you help guys.

It actually could do with a bit wider ones! The wheels are 10.5 wide all round and the 275's are stretched on!

I am told it is cool to have them like that though

Its TRAMLINE central on the motorway though!

Was out in it yesterday, doing some mental mental traffic light launches
