Default bmw stalling probs, help please...

hey, i have asked this a while back, but since my s2 'box went a couple of days back, ive been driving it and its pissing me off...

basically its a 520i f-reg, and it keeps on stalling at junctions, she idles erratically between 500-1100 rpm (battery light flickering at 500), after 5 secs she then settles at 600ish... sometimes she stalls.

when i go to pull away, there is a pause of at least a second before any response, therefore i am constantly stalling her ... i reckon they may be related?

did look for an air leak, but couldnt find one...

try disconnecting the idle control valve first if this helps then replace it.

Yeah, buy a reliable brand

Sounds EXACTLY like an air leak to me mate.

Youve probably got a split hose on the intake somewhere. Theyre prone to splitting because of where they run, so i would check for any splits, of any size.
