The MAP sensor is fine.............It very rarely did that with me, Once or twice after a VERY good shoeing
It also maybe showed the temp being about 120 degree's ......but the temp gauge in the car never moved from where is usually is
Turn the car off........then back on it is was fine for me, I just put it down to my very skillful wiring of the SECS moniter

mine did that too, turned the ign off and on and it was all good again,
this was after shitting my panties and stopping in a rather quick hurry at the side of the M62

Ryan, before you spend cash on MAP sensors, chack and double check the wiring for the monitor.
i.e. the joints onto the ECU connector pins and the connections between the monitor and its harness.
Had similar problems with mine
