A 11kw Motor that has a Full-power load of 21.5Amps.

What sort of money will that cost to run roughly?

readings are wrong

10kw on 415v 3 phase is 14.4 amps per phase

look at your meter for how much a kw/h is say 10p per kw per hour, so a 11kw motor running would use £1.10 per hour just running not including the direct on line start to get it upto speed

was at a electric motor a couple weeks ago running at 636 Amps per phase, roughly 450Kw and takes a Megawatt generator to get it running upto speed

11kw gareth. you must be joking.

here's our 220kW motor

that drives this centrifugal blower

to generate a wind speed up to 100 mph out of this nozzle

glad i don't pay the electricity. the heaters to control the temperature of that room at up to 55 deg. C are quite juicy as well

btw, that's not me in the pictures. i'm far younger, better built and better looking

Rick

it's a climatic chamber used to test automotive air conditioning / heating systems primarily as that is what my company makes.

but it can also be used for anything requiring precise temperature & humidity control / wind / dyno. anything you like if you can afford it. £2k per day with engineer and technician support and use of a workshop

at the moment, we've got enough work with just the air con testing, but if that was to drop off or we had a quiet time, i would offer it for mapping etc

exactly. can give you wind at 70mph at 5 deg. C if you want to cheat at power runs, or 50 deg. C for mapping and checking the ACT retard etc. and not just a little fan doing that, but full vehicle frontal area

only problem is, dyno is only one axle at a time with a capacity of 250 bhp. if there was enough business in it, we would look at upgrading the dyno.

Christain approx cost will be

KW x hours run per day x your electricity charge

11kW x 5hrs x 8p/kWh = £4.4 per day in juice
