landlords question please

oi oi

wonder if you could help me with this q, im looking at buying to let and wonderd who pays the council tax why the property is vacant is it you or does it get stopped untill tenants arive?

You can declare it empty to the council who will keep it tax exempt for up to 6 months at which time you have to start paying it as a landlord

bish is right after 6 months its down to the owner

but if its still empty only 50% is payable i think from memory.
