the cvh35 is a nicer cam to drive with generally is the responce ive heard but the T2 seems to get a tiny bit more bhp........ but actual driving the cvh35 is what peeps prefer

inless your running a t34 or big boost i would say for 195bhp then a brand new standard cam is a nice drivable car, but if you want to chase more power then stick with the t2 and save for other stuff

Not bad if you want a Cam that will run its lobs off in under 1000 miles.

Piper 285T2 is a better bet IMO and co-incidentically I happen to have a brand spanking new one that I no longer require.

I promise that the advise on the Kent one isn't biased by the fact that I have a Piper one for sale.

I like the Kent profiles, I still remember my CVH34 very fondly, was an awesome cam, but it doesn't matter what car the CVH engine is in, Kent's cams are shite. Full stop.

A moderately powered car may be better with a 285T, but IMO, most CVH Turbo's around the 180-250bhp mark seem to work well with the 285T2.

Ginge, I guess unltimately, your opinion on the Standard cam is a good one, but how much is a brand new genuine Cam/Followers/Springs from Ford? Also, is the quality there with them these days? I got a Ford Water Pump recently and it was just some foreign shite, didn't even have a Ford logo on it.

thats always been the case with fords though

but there stuff is all made by big companys who make stuff all the time so for contract em for the larger numbers,,,, victor reinz gaskets ect

cam is 100 quid i think but its a nice cam for road use,,, most people just change em as there old cam is flat ( well round )and fit any other cam and it feels the tits

285t2's are a slighty more laggy cam compared to a kent but i know a few have had issues with kent cams

I'd guess an uprated cam and a T2 is a bad combination.
