Right wanna upgrade my graphic card
Aint looking at getting the very latest thing
Have so far think I decided lol, on an ATI All In Wonder X800 GT
reason for above choice is range of inputs and outputs (2 monitor support DVI and Analogue, hdtv output for the telly S video and composite ins and outs)
now the GT meant to have better clock and memory speeds than the XL
so thought that was it deffo the GT
But now find out they do various ones of it
Basically think im down to the card but either
256MB AGP 8X
- 400MHz ATI Radeon X800 GT GPU Clock Speed
- 256MB 800MHz DDR memory accelerates the latest cutting edge 3D applications
- 256-bit memory interface
- Eight pixel pipelines
OR
128MB PCI E
- 400MHz ATI Radeon X800 GT GPU Clock Speed
- 128MB 980MHz GDDR3 memory accelerates the latest cutting edge 3D applications
- 128-bit memory interface
- Eight pixel pipelines
So what one likely to give best performance one with more mem or one with the PCI E (the PCI E seems to have a 980 mhz speed compared to the 256 ones 800Mhz so what dif does that make)
Why do they have to make this so complicated

pci e has a different slot mate will not fit agp motherboards its all a big rip as they know gamers want the fastest so they change the tecnology slightly so everyone has to buy a new pc bloody robbery my agp card cost me 350 im stuck with it now cant sell it either lol
i will say the all in 1 wonders try to do to much imo id go for a dedicated gfx card mate heres a link this place has a forum aswell for any questions

Right
Rudes ye know the rip the manufactures pull
and Ive omly got AGP
BUT
Ive also just recently bought a Sata 2 drive and my MB wont recognise it at full speed so have had to clip it, so a new MB is in the pic anyway, will just err help me decide i really do need one
Oh and i dont really want it for gamming more for as i say input and output of the display to my tv AND monitor and for capturing things off like my old analogue (composite) camcorder etc. but still like knowing it should still be able to pretty much play most of the latest games if i decided i wanted to
Saffsta
As above really Nvidia dont reaLLY do so much in the way of in and outputs
BUT to add to it already changed my mind since the first post and think it gonna be the
ATI X 800 XL 256 MB PCI E GDDR 3 All In Wonder
- 400MHz ATI Radeon X800 XL GPU Clock Speed
- 256MB 980MHz GDDR3 memory accelerates the latest cutting edge 3D applications
- 256-bit quad-channel GDDR3 memory interface
- Sixteen pixel pipelines
- Six programmable vertex shader pipelines
Seems to have the faster speed more pipelines oh and six programable vertex shaders
(Taken from Overclockers
)
Best price I found so far is £210.56 inc
Anyone do any better

Only realling going for the graphics upgrade for better output to the new telly
and seeing as I said the new sata 2 drive wont run at full speed so mb upgrade would be nice so dony need a new system, altho have just doubled HD sata drives to 450 gb and new power supply so not far off already really, just the mem and case and opti drives remaining lol.
will deffo have a look at OC as have also found them to be one of the best, will compare card board and deliveries of a few i use (micro direct and novatech being another couple) one may be best for one and another for something else, but would rather keep order in one place so see what all sites are doing
