rick a 24v cossie is the bit in the middle, in standard form will rev to 6k power all the way up, not like a 2.9 or 2.8 which is a piece of shit. 24v will rev to 7.5 k if you have the late block which means 300 bhp with TB and ECU

I know which engines last longer without a rebuild.
It is hard for people to understand how a 24v goes if they have never been in one
As i have both i think i can comment.
The power of a 24v just keeps coming, no suden rush like a turbo so you don't feel it is that special but it is.
I like mine a lot, so easy to drive, more relaxing than the yb.
Steve.

I work for a newspaper and I drive all the fancy cars, If you forget noise and dodgy handling, fancy toys a 24v 4x4 is right up there, why does not Ford produce such a car. the ST220 is not quite there

well i planned on sticking my yb in my xr4x4 as i did last time for everyday use
but ive decided to go the 24v route just for reliability and use my yb in something different for weekends and to have fun in
they are both good engines but totally different so u carnt rally compare a 24v to a yb as there totally different cars

Big chinned?
What the fuck is that supposed to be mean?
Tell you - for someone who's actually proud of driving round in shed of a car, you aint half got some front.
Why place the post - it's a 24v cossie engine and it's more torquey than a cossie? Who gives a shit?
You're just trying to justify the fact that you drive round in a car whose wheels are worth more than the rest of the entire package.
Keep justifying your modified council estate shitheap. I wouldn't be proud. The sierra's only real redeeming feature is its 16v YB and your doesn't even have that.
What a weapon of a car

I agree with you PON, The sierra is a old rep mobile with no class( then again it has good motor sport pedagree even the xr4x4 has some). So yes somtimes I feel like a chav driving it. I belive its better than feeling like a fooking gay lord driving a MR2 hair dresser car.

funny thread johnny sounds almost like one of my old ones next you'll be saying how much better the 24v is over the old 12v
go for the ultimate road experience and get a a engine that has torque from the off
there's no replacement for cubic displacement

Possibly an E30 beamer, or maybe into the Custard, silly thing is i can probably get as much for the YB+turbo+ecu+injectors etc as an LS2 would cost anyway, so its not even like its an expensive conversion!

Worst choice of car ever!
Sure I drive a Stg 3 Cossie to work and back but.

After driving the trans am then the turbo'd capri, i can honestly say my biggest mistake was not putting a V8 in the capri. Nothing beats the big cc V8s, you can have big turbo power, no lag, power EVERYWHERE in the rev range, and alot better reliability with hardly any decrease in fuel consumption.
I dare say the trans am had less power than the capri has now, it was worn, it smoked, it was 50% heavier yet felt more of an animal....it just gave you a kick that turbod engines cant......
The thing with YBs though, is you can get a great power increase for hardly any expense and work. Swap a chip, turn up the boost and you have 70 brake. lol....Thats their best quality.
Other than that, ya can keep your turbos. I want my cc's back

I dont care how basic they seem, they give 400bhp for less weight than a pinto (assumption), C of G is low, fit straight upto a 6 speed box, sound awesome, tune to unimaginable power figures, very cheap to own/repair/modify.
A sound choice....im inclined to agree with you, only i would probably buy the rest of the car with it.

I don't care about the hairdresser image at all. Its just a wank engine in my opinion. Not saying its not fast either! just DULL in its noise, character and power delivery.

But I don't mind - I have a choice of cars to use, admittedly not all mine, but at least I'm not restricted to one complete heap of shit such as yourself.
Sometimes you feel like a chav driving it? Maybe you should realise that you probably look like a chav driving it ALL the time!
Anyhow, aside from your banger, make sure you say hello at Central Day, as I assume you'll be there. I'll intorduce myself, and then you can insult me to my face. I fuckin LOVE retribution.
Simon - nice addition. Keep going. I'm in the process of tracking down each and every person you owe money or product to, and the list is growing!
