looking cool gracie,,,,,,,, wonder where you got that idea from

fair play though,,,,,,,,, loving the heat shield but then considering ive for a carbon escos i would love that too

the reason i would fit a secs monitor there it cause when you replace the clock the secs dont have one built in

good work and looks the part

the heatsheild has been treated to many many coats of that autoglym back to black green gell stuff - it was well grey and faded when i got it, needs some more coats tho

the monitor looks the don there and is right in line of sight

also, the heatsheild is secured using the old bracket to the bulkhead from the 4x4 saff heatsheild, and has been trimmed to clear the exhaust at the back, this gives an inch clearance all round, the front is mounted using a piece of stainless steel strip under the 2nd camcover bolt, then folded up to the sheild and self-tapped in place

nice and secure

Red light is the alarm light - if any of the sensors or settings that are monitored go out of tolerence, IE - too high coolant temp, too low battery voltage, too high rpm, too high intake temps then the alarm (in this case an ultra bright red LED) flashes and continues to do so untill you acknowlege the alarm by pressing one of the buttons

That's easily sorted.... use a Defi HUD. I always look at the HUD rather than the rev counter.

Retro? Possibly, as I just realised it's a five year old idea!

Maybe I'm just a setter and not a follower of fashion

cant believe you would want to do away with the analogue rev counter?

Seems a bit gay to me.

Or do you have a seperate rev counter somewhere else?

I would sum it up as a bad idea implemented perfectly.

Ie losing the rev counter was a bad idea, but you seem to have done a very neat job of the instalation.

Is this because you cant use the standard rev counter on coilpack?

standard rev counter worked fine Chip -but where people normally mount their SECS monitors, i currently have spa gauges, but will soon be having something else there, so the only place in the line of sight was where the rev counter is.

but fear not my portly fellow, an SPA rev counter and digital speedo will replace the ford speedo soon
