I hit one last night in the escort, looks like the same sort of size.

Bit of an update.....
Phoned the council this morning - actually got put through to someone who seemed to know what they were talking about - got told to put it in writing together with the photos etc & to give two estimates for the damage. He reckoned I could have my claim paid out within about 6 weeks!!
Will definately have to go for 4 new wheels as Masitaly have gone bust apparently!!!
Anyway I drove past the offending pothole again today and believe it or not it had sunk again & was just as bloody dangerous - but at least it meant I could take somemore pictures....
One bling steel wheel sunk into the tarmac....
Not the best of pics I know - but thats 4.5" deep!!!
Look at the arse end of the car in the air....oh & someone elses wheeltrim in the dirt...
Leaning sir.....
Note someone elses bit of car on the pavement.....I wasnt the only victim!
So anyway after taking more pics - I reported it again to the police & to the council again - lets see how long it lasts this time.....useless pricks!!!
