Turbo Lag, and how to combat it?
I have read that Cam selection has a lot to do with
when/where a turbo comes 'on boost' is there any truth in this?
IF so, how does it work? a cam that has VE lower down rev range
will be less 'laggy' ?
(im thinking more about cars with bigger turbos really, where it would matter more)
I can only assume that making a car which comes on boost sooner
is compromising all out power?
Or have i got completely the wrong end of a shitty stick here? lol
just thinking really. kinda enjoyed learning from the 'tech article'
session there was the other week on here!
but dont remember if we got on to something like this?

cams have a huge amount to do with it.
lift has no huge adverse effects, but long duration cams usually raise the boost threshold quite significantly for relativley little gains.
but il leave someone like Stu or Chip to tell it you in science terms
