Cossie Heater Matrix Replacement,How???????
My 93 Saph only seems capable of chucking out cold air and its getting bloody freezing in there I,m going to replace the thermostat first which is the easier job but the more expensive one at £45.00 but knowing my luck it,ll turn out to be the matrix. I,ve heard they,re a pig to do but are they really that bad?Any tips would be helpfull.Cheers Gaz

No, i,ve tried mate. None of the Factors round here seem to list them and at Fords a 2wd one is £8.00 and a 4wd is £45.00 . I knew i should have kept the 3 door LOL

I have heard stories of people removing clutch pedals . I,m assuming that this is some kind of shortcut.Personally,i think i,d rather remove the dash LOL

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Did it on mine last year, it is really fiddly, but not as bad as i thought. Just got as much of the lower dash out of the way, to get to the heater box fixings. The clutch pedal did get in the way, but just squeezed the matrix past it.
Definatly worth it, as its now nice and warm inside!!
