Gear ratios might be a bit different as well? Cossie gets to 120 in 15.9 and the Minker ( and Testarossa they included for comparison purposes ) both take 16.7 seconds. The Ferrari did a 13.5 @ 107 ss 1/4 just for interest.

I would have thought the powerbands would be like chalk and cheese, as one is coming on the boost the other is running out of puff.
Hence why one is exciting and the other a good everyday car.

Anyone know if there are many of those Power Engineering Sprintex supercharged XR4is/XR4x4s still in existence. When I owned an XR4i, I remember a guy walking across to me at the pumps at the Baileys filling station ( nr Shrewsbury on the main route into Wales ) and saying my car looked pretty clean. He'd got a similar car on the far side of the pumps and it was supercharged ( done by Power Engineering ). Followed him down A5 for a bit until my turnoff but it certainly shifted pretty well. Always looked out for one for sale but only ever saw one come up in the back of Fast Ford and it had sold by the time I rang up.
Didn't one of the famous racing driver's like Derek Bell or similar used to have one and reckoned it was one of the best road cars he'd ever had?

Dunno whats its called but ive got a mag filled with tests of Sierras made by different car magazines and they compare the Minker with some other conversions. Seems pretty fast but I cant understand how it could beat a proper stage 3 cossie. Was a long time ago I compared the acceleration figures with my own Sapph and if I remember correctly it was a fair bit behind the cossie. But it shure seems like a very nice conversion giving low down power.

On most of their conversions they uprated everything that needed to be done, even the baby 200bhp conversions on the 2.8 had the old Type-9 modified (I think). So with that in mind I would have expected the MT75 in the Minker would have been looked at, but, as mentioned, I would doubt anybody knows the technicalities other than those that worked at TurboTechnics at the time.
