Default Passport Question

My passport is due to expire in May of this year.

I'm going to Belgium for a long weekend in January will the expiry date of my passport cause me any problems?

Somebody told me that I need at least 6 months on my passport to travel abroad but I didn't think it applied to EU countries.

Anyone know for sure?

I did ask the government passport office but they couldn't help me, they said I should contact the Belgium embassy! Crazy!

Thanks in advance.

should be ok but a lot of countries insist on 6 months validity. If u got the time i would change it anyhow as u will have to sooner or later.

I should be fine then. Thanks guys.

I would re-new it but I'm worried it wouldn't be back in time as we go in a couple of weeks.

I'll definitely do it when I'm back though.

Got a stag do in Magaluf in June!
