Matt- take someone with you who knows a bit about em, for 3.5 k you should get somet OK, but dont really expect anything else and budget to buy the car twice as if the engine lets go it will be that much again.Cossie buying is a minefield, I got my late K 4x4 after looking at 12 cars and I had more or 7k to spend.

no matter HOW clean a cossie is and how well looked after they WILL cause problems, they all do at some point,,,,,, just like any other car but with a cossie the parts are soo much more money and on to of that is the shite parts that are about second hand too

even paying 10k on a cossie can cause problems,,, lampchop owns one of the nicest cossies ive seen about,,,,,,,,,,, even he had problems and thats been maintained with no expense spared too

dont wanna worry you but its true, also soo many mechanics out there who dont understand em and cause more problems

we just all ignore that as there not many other cars about for the same cash thats as much fun

i paied 4500 for mine and mine had a knock but was fine, i left it parked up for 2 months and then it gained a problem on its own

so i took it apart to sort it all out once and for all,,,,, bought a new engine for it and all parts to sort the engine out too

ive prob spent 3k on the car roughly in parts since i got it,,,,,,,,, but i still love it
