I had one of the first pay as you go phones in the country on vodaphone the day the pay as you go system was introduced. It was an older model moto than this one, but it was the same shape, and slightly bigger.

Then i had a trusty 5110, great phones (at the time) lol

Everyones had one of these

And one of these bricks lol

Had this one for years up until recently when i got the razr

Top phone

EDIT: Sorry, i feel i've done an injustice to thesamsung A300. It was a pukka phone, its NEVER let me down EVER, and phones don't like me much

Its been dropped in a vat of hot, used engine oil where i had to dismantle it, clean it, and re-assemble. Then it fell in the river when fishing, took battery out, dried on radiator, 2 days later it worked perfectly again. Its been trodden on, dropped, slammed, thrown, chewed, crushed, and it STILL works.

It'll be going to sleep in my top draw for emergencies, which i know will arrise with the new fangled razr

The first hone I had was a CTN7000 I think it was. Got it from Simon Robinson on Vodafone 10 odd years ago . It was like a house brick and cost about £5 a min to phone anyone
After that I got a motorola flare then god knows how many nokia phones. Got a 6170 now and it's mint, can't fault it

My 9300 is spot on. No faults and is reasonably well put together!

My only complaint is it doesn't recognise the memory card until about 12 hours after you have fitted it...
i was going too buy the 9300 this year,, really like it ive had a comunitcator before which was nice,, but alittle bit
If you was nearer, I'd let you test drive mine.

It's a good business phone which is mainly why I use it. It's got Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Reader amongst other things.

It's virtually the same size as one of these....

i remember my sister setting it up for me on my phone as i never even heard about it then getting fucked up text on the phone off all me mates nad everyone thought i was a said fucker for not finding em funny

it was cause the baby ericson only had 1 line of display so all i got was

when on a fucking nokia would be a sheep getting shagged or somink and all my pikey mates had the nokia 5210 things cause they could afford the brand new baby ericson as they had shit contracts and i had the old "gold " tariff

ahhh them was the days,,,,,,,,,,, phones with melody ring tones,,,,, when they was cool to have ,,,,,,,,,, now you cant even get poxy normal rings on phones

I started off from 1988 with NEC 11 phones fitted in company cars, which I never used to lock at night until I found out the local kids were using my car as a phone box!!!

Then got a Motorola transportable - very heavy and really crap, and soon went back to the fixed car phone.

Then in 1995 I got a Motorola flip for my first digital phone - I think they called it Startac or something. Also crap.

From 1996 I've had loads of Nokias that I can't recall the model numbers of, but including 5110, 6210, 6310, 6310i, and now a 6230. The work phone was "upgraded" a few months ago from a 6310i to an Orange SPV 500, but the new phone is in its box and the sim card is back in the 6310.

Also, over the years I've bought an NEC 9, Nokia 2010, a couple of Ericsons, and a Nokia 6820 for the wife.

I've still got all of these, and most are still working, except a couple with dead batteries. Is there any market for old phones like these, either to retro fans like Thrush, or to (antique) dealers?

My friend used to sell hundreds of chipped models of these, everytime you switched them off they topped themselves up with £10 credit - used to sell them at £150 each.

FUGLY phones that cost Cellnet millions!!!!!!!
I had one of those as my first phone, mine was "chipped" aswell think i still have it somehwere
