Default Who remembers their first phone?

Was just chatting with a mate and was talking about how complex this N70 is

Anyway, he asks why I got it and the main reason is my 6230 is pretty much knackard, and I go off on one about how they odn't make em like they used, and that my first phone was fooking bullet proof - fell out of a 3rd story window and survived with only the tinyest of scuffs, was run over by a Sprinter van, left on top of the same Sppinter van when it drove away, dropped kick, sat on countless times and never once went wrong.... So he asked what it was - I couldn't remember the model number, but after a long Google Image search I found it!!!

I present....... The Nokia 1620

Man it was a fooking HOUSE brick the display was about 3 lines and it weighed a ton No lie it was about 6 or so inches long, and thicker than a box of fags

But seriously, it was such a good phone!!! Never once broke down or stopped working Had it for absolutely ages before upgrading from Pay as You Go to contract when I got...

...the classic 3210

Which got nicked a year or so later, and was followed by the 7110 which I thought was a superb phone!!!

Can't remember why, but I think it began shutting itself off a couple years later so I upgraded to the 6310;

Which I had untill just before xmas last year, whn I upgraded to the 6230

And, after finally getting sick of it not working and cutting out/switching off/saying "SIM REJECTED" for no reason, I upgraded last week to this N70, which I ain't too sure about and am thinking of changing already

Dunno why I just typed all that It's late and I've had a few beers, but that 1620 was the bollox Don't make em like that anymore

I'm gutted that I don't have my 1620 anymore (traded it in at Dixons/Link for the 7110 after the 3210 got nicked) as it was a cracking phone!!!

Nokia 8110 - I sooooooooooo wanted one before I got the 7110. My mate got one (the 8110) and I remember being dissapointed cos it didn't flick open like the ones on the Matrix did - then I got the 7110 that was spring loaded and opened by pressing a betton on the back - he was the one who was pissed then

The 7110 wasn't the matrix phone it was the 8110, they just modified it to spring like the 7110. Everyone thinks the 7110 is the phone famed in the first matrix film though because of the spring activated slide!

It reality it was a poor phone compared to the 7110.

My 1st phone in 1990 was a Tecnofone (Nokia) and was on a contract with cudwell 18 months contract with a 6 month notice to end so 2 years contract!!! I thin went to Hutchison telecom (now Orange) in 1991 you could only have 2 phones from them Motorola and a Nokia, cost for the Nokia was £400 that's the one I had. I remember you could text (which was very new then) from the Nokia to the Motorola but the Motorola could not text back. I have still got the same number as I had in 1991 and yes I remember hiding in the corner when it rang. I am still with orange and I always say to them when I upgrade and I want a deal that I have been with them since 1991 when they were called Hutchison that usually does it.
