cant find out about this on ebay so i thought id let u lot try and answer it for me, i won an item, then sent the seller a email requesting the total as he didnt say postage costs in the auction since then ive not heard from him i havent paid him any money so where do i stand? have i no rights? or is there something i can do? as i really want this item and i doubt ill find another for as cheap, i bet he dosent wanna let it go for what i won it for

any help appriciated

 

sounds like a deffinate possibility mate if the item you won was worth more than your winning bid, but if thats the case the seller should have put a reserve on. as far as where you stand i dont really know, email ebay and ask them. Also as you were the winning bidder you can leave negative feedback, hope this helps.

Had exactly the same problem recently. Won some as new esc cos eibach springs for Ł56. Had to e-mail for postage costs and got no reply. Thought he doesn't want to sell for this price.

You can request seller information and i got his home phone number. How shocked was he when i phoned him. Said he had cancelled auction and it was e-bays fault so i reported him.

Eventually after e-bay contacted him he agreed to sell with postage of Ł40

Anyway agreed and paid via paypal.

Three weeks later after no contact from him left him neg feedback and reported him to e-bay again for non-supply.

Surprise he then contacted to me to say he'd been out of country and would post item the follwing monday if neg feedback was mutally withdrawn. Agreed again remove feedback.

Came back from work on the monday to an e-mail from him saying postage was now Ł68 didn't think i wanted to pay that so refund my money.

What a timewaster.

When did you win?
The seller may be away if its only a few days.

He may be having trouble finding out how much to charge for postage.

I won an item (I was the only bidder) in November, emailed for total cost, heard nothing. emailed again, got a reply to say he was too busy to go out and check, then 2 weeks later he said transfer item cost and he would post and let me know the extra.

I got the item, he never asked for postage cost and apologised for delay on feedback.

focus i recieved 1 email after the auction ended sayin he didnt know how much postage will be and i told him how much it would cost as ive posted simliar items before, its been 11 days since the auction ended ive emailed him again so ill wait and see what happens
